Surgical Research Core Group

The Surgical Research Core Group provides the following services to clinical and research surgical faculty, fellows, residents, and students:

  • Research methodology and design
  • Preparation of peer-reviewed publications
  • Posters and other special presentations
  • Abstracts and book chapters
  • Grant applications

Staff members are also experienced in identifying potential funding opportunities for surgical faculty, residents, staff, and students.

Professor, Office of Decision Support Director

Dr. Davenport’s research is in assessing surgical outcomes and risk. He also supports the research efforts of other faculty, residents, and students  through methods consultation, data design and management, statistical analysis, and reporting. The Office of Decision Support provides NSQIP and STS collection and reporting of risk-adjusted surgical outcomes.
