Residents rotate on the Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Service during the PGY-1, PGY-3 and PGY-5 years, gaining graduated experience in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. Residents perform in excess of 50 major vascular operations as primary surgeon including carotid, aortic, and lower extremity revascularizations. Residents also have the opportunity to participate in diagnostic and therapeutic angiograms under the direction of the Vascular and Endovascular Surgery faculty.
Further advanced training in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery is offered through an ACGME-approved fellowship. The fellowship is two years in duration. The first year focuses primarily on open vascular surgical reconstructions, while the second year includes intensive endovascular experience and training in the non-invasive Vascular Laboratory.
