The University of Kentucky Cardiothoracic Surgery program offers a 24-month training program, accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, for two fellowship positions for individuals who have graduated from approved general surgery residency programs.
- One resident per year
- Selection made 12 months prior to commencement of residency
The application requires the following materials:
- Thoracic Surgery Application*
- Personal Statement
- Curriculum Vitae
- Three letters of recommendation (including a letter from the Program Director)
- ABSITE scores
- The residency program participates in the ERAS program
- Wallet-sized photo
*All positions are filled through the Thoracic Surgery Matching Program. Applications for this program are available by calling the National Residency Match Program toll -free at 866-653-NRMP (6767).
