Sponsor: Supercon Incorporated
Abstract: Peripheral nerve injuries occur in 5% of patients involved in trauma at a Level I trauma center. Gold standard of tension free nerve repair with nerve loss is nerve autograph. The purpose of this study is to determine if the use of the porous metal Tantulum will make an adequate, if not superior, conduit for nerve re-growth after transection with loss of nerve length.
