ABOUT DR. JACK CRONENWETT
Dr. Cronenwett is Professor of Surgery with the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. He was Chair of the Section of Vascular Surgery at DHMC from 1984-2007. He received his B.S degree from the University of Michigan, his M.D. from Stanford University, did general surgery residency at the University of Michigan and completed a vascular fellowship at the University of Tennessee. He is Past-President of the New England Society for Vascular Surgery, the Association of Program Directors in Vascular Surgery, and the Society for Vascular Surgery. He is a past-member of the Residency Review Committee for Surgery of the ACGME. He is Editor Emeritus of the Journal of Vascular Surgery and Rutherford’s Vascular Surgery Textbook, 7th and 8th Edition. From 2002-2014, he served as Medical Director of the Vascular Study Group of New England, a regional cooperative quality improvement project involving 30 hospitals in CT, MA, ME, NH, RI and VT. From 2011 to 2016, he was Medical Director of the Society for Vascular Surgery Patient Safety Organization, a consortium of >400 hospitals organized into 17 regional quality improvement groups that share clinical data to improve vascular healthcare. In 2017, Dr, Cronenwett also took on the role of Chief Medical Officer for Medstreaming/M2S which provide informatics support to registries and physicians. Dr. Cronenwett is listed in “Who’s Who in America,” “Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare,” “Who’s Who in American Education,” and “The Best Doctors in America.” He has published over 300 peer-reviewed articles, books and book chapters, and delivered more than 400 scientific presentations. In 2016 he received the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Society for Vascular Surgery.
