The University of Kentucky Cardiothoracic Surgery program offers a 24-month fellowship program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.
The division accepts one (1) two-year Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellow per year.
Individuals must have graduated from approved general surgery residency programs.
Selection is made 12 months prior to commencement of fellowship.
All positions are filled through the Thoracic Surgery Matching Program. Applications for this program are available by calling the National Residency Match Program toll -free at 866-653-NRMP (6767).

Candidates are encouraged to attend an informal reception the night prior to interviews to meet faculty members and current residents. The reception is held at the Goodfella's Distillery, 1228 Manchester Street, in Lexington.
